Introduction
Turquoise is a rare and valuable stone in shades of turquoise, belonging to the natural hydrated phosphate of aluminum. This precious stone is found in Neyshabur. The Neyshabur turquoise mine is one of the oldest turquoise mines in the world, from which turquoise has been extracted for over 2000 years, located in the northwest of Neyshabur. Neyshabur turquoise is known as the most valuable and high-quality turquoise in the world. Turquoise Inlaying (FiroozehKoobi) is a type of handicraft that involves setting small pieces of turquoise in a mosaic pattern on the surface of dishes, jewelry, and decorative objects (with bases made of copper, brass, etc.). A dark adhesive (Araks) is placed between the turquoise pieces. This art was practiced in Mashhad about 60 or 70 years ago by Yousef Hakimian (known as Mohammad Reza) and brought to Isfahan 20 years later by Haj Dadash.
